About Easton Foundations
Bridging the Gap
Easton Sports Development Foundation exists to further the sport of archery by bridging the gap between first experience and elite experience.
Support & Training
The Foundation supports indoor and outdoor archery facilities at city parks, schools, universities and sports complexes throughout the U.S. and provides programs to train aspiring archers, trainers, coaches and administrators.
Created in 1984
The first Easton Sports Development Foundation was created in 1984 by Jim Easton, with the mission to introduce this lifetime activity and historic Olympic-style sport of archery to more people in Southern California. The success of that effort led to the formation in 2006 of a second Foundation, Easton Sports Development Foundation II.
Sponsoring Programs
The Easton Foundations sponsors a variety of programs to increase the awareness of archery. Among the programs initiated by ESDF are the Olympic Archery in Schools (OAS), which helps schools to form archery teams. The Foundation runs various archery programs from its Archery Centers in Newberry, FL; Salt Lake City, UT; and Chula Vista, CA
Awarding Grants
Easton Sports Development Foundation II (ESDFII) awards several grants each year to clubs, programs, schools, colleges, universities, and organizations that propose archery-related plans or projects. For more information, please click on Apply for Grants.
Providing Assistance
The Easton Foundations also provides assistance to several high-level archery programs and organizations, such as USA Archery (USAA), and the National Field Archery Association (NFAA).
