Why Might a Tournament Be Cancelled?

Tournament Cancellations/Pauses May Happen
The Director of Shooting may pause or cancel competition if the targets are visually obscured or if the safety of the archers, officials and spectators might be threatened by weather such as lightning, extreme temperatures, or high winds.
If officials decide to pause the tournament, they will likely arrange for a check-in time when they expect the weather to have improved. If this is the case, stay nearby in a safe location and be prepared to return. However, in cases where officials decide to cancel the competition, tournament results may be calculated later based on abbreviated scores.
Reasons for Tournament Cancellation
